Are You Looking For The Ultimate Israel Summer Experience?
Tell me about the program.
During the course of the program, each participant will have the opportunity to produce and edit three original videos around the topics of Israel, human rights issues, and/or issues that affect Jews around the world.
The first video will be a chance for participants to get up to speed with video editing, Israel advocacy, or a chance to improve their existing skills.
During the 3rd and 4th weeks of the program, participants will spend afternoons interning with local Israel Advocacy organizations. Each participant will produce a video, based on a topic chosen with their internship. This video will be co-branded with Video Activism and the Israel advocacy organization they are interning with.
The final video will be done in small groups - and will be filmed on location in Jerusalem. It will give participants the opportunity to write, produce, film and edit their own short films with others on the program.
Throughout the program there will be a variety of Jewish identity classes, Israel advocacy classes, and advanced video editing classes taught by professionals in the field. There will be weekly trips travelling throughout Israel. Additionally, long weekends have been sprinkled into the schedule giving participants ample time to explore the country on their own as well.
